Tampa.... Marlowe & McNabb, P. A., has relocated its law offices to a new building located at 1560 West Cleveland Street in the Hyde Park area. The 3,700 square foot building is part of a five-building office park condominium known as Cityplace.
Developed by ABC Capital Corp., the project is part of a continuing trend in south Tampa to re-establish an area with traditionally low property values and turn it into a highly desirable place to own real estate. Because of soaring city property values, increasing numbers of professionals are choosing to build in this area of Tampa instead of leasing space in nearby downtown office buildings.
Steve Marlowe, senior partner of Marlowe & McNabb saw the opportunity to make the move to build when the firm’s five-year lease expired at 324 S. Hyde Park Avenue.
“We are very excited and pleased to have our own space after several years of leasing,” said Steve Marlowe, senior partner. “The timing was right, the price was right, so we decided to take the plunge. I know that ownership brings new challenges and added responsibilities, but this is definitely a move in the right direction for us.”
The Mediterranean style building contains nine lawyer offices and two conference rooms, as well as a large reception area, a work room and employee break room. The building is owned by Steve Marlowe, with Marlowe & McNabb, P. A. leasing some of the offices. Additional space will be used for future growth and for lease to other professionals.
All five buildings in Cityplace have been sold, four are occupied, and one is still under construction. The buildings range in size from approximately 2,000 square feet to around 6,000 square feet.
Marlowe & McNabb concentrates its practice in construction law, business and commercial law, business transition planning, and collections and claims. The firm mainly represents commercial contractors and subcontractors. Stephen D. Marlowe and Joseph V. McNabb have more than 40 years of collective legal experience in construction law, and both formerly practiced with Carlton Fields.
