Joseph McNabb
joined the firm effective December 1, 1998. His primary
areas of the practice are contract drafting, bids and litigation.
Joe was a member of the construction litigation department
of Carlton, Fields from 1991 through 1998, where his experience
included representing owners, employers, architects, general
contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers. Joe has
advised several employers on contract law. Joe is a member
of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough
County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the
U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District
Court for the Middle District of Florida. He serves on the
Board of Trustees for the Hillsborough Rural Community Development
Corporation. He is also a contributing author of State-By-State
Guide To Architect, Engineer and Contractor Licensing,(Aspen
Publishers, 1999).
Prior to entering the legal profession,
Joe served more than 20 years as a commissioned officer in
the United States Air Force. His Air Force career, included
serving two combat tours in the Vietnam War as a fighter pilot.
Joe graduated from the United States Air
Force Academy in 1965 with a bachelor of science degree. In
1991, he graduated summa cum laude with highest honors, Order
of the Coif from the Florida State University College of Law
where he was a member of the Florida State University Law
Review. While at FSU, he received awards for academic excellence
in legal research and writing, torts, evidence, remedies,
Florida civil practice, and litigation.
