Prior to joining Marlowe, McNabb & Stayton, P. A. on April 10, 2006, Glen H. Watkins served as
Assistant Attorney General in the Economic
Crimes Division, representing the State of
Florida in civil litigation enforcing Florida's
Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act,
RICO, and other laws regulating business
practices, including marketing, billing, contracting
and licensing. He coordinated
multi-state litigation, handled negotiation of
disputes and drafted legislative proposals. Mr. Watkins also served in
the United States Navy, Judge Advocate General Corps, Fort Meade,
MD National Security Agency, Office of the General Counsel.
Mr. Watkins received his law degree from Stetson University
College of Law, St. Petersburg, Florida and graduated cum laude in
December 1998. He served internships with Judge Richard A.
Lazzara, U. S. District Court, Tampa, FL, and Judge Alexander L.
Paskay, U. S. Bankruptcy Court, Tampa, FL; He received his Master
of Law in Securities Regulation in May 2004 from Georgetown
University Law Center, Washington, DC. He earned his B. S. in
Finance from Florida State University, where he was a Presidential
Academic Scholar.
Mr. Watkins is a member of The Florida Bar, The Hillsborough County Bar Association, The Federalist
Society, serving as Vice President of the Tampa Bay Lawyers
Division, and the Justice William Glenn Terrell and Judge Advocate
Association Inn of Court. He is also a member of the Associated
Builders & Contractors, Gulf Coast Chapter.
